Morning Wood May 15/2010

Here's four things that's going to make it difficult to pee when I wake up tommorrow.

1. Flyers beating Bruins. I absolutely cannot wait to wake up and hear everyone on TV rip apart the Boston Bruins for blowing a 3-0 series lead and a 3-0 lead in game 7 to the Philadelphia Flyers. People say Lebron blew it with the Cavs? Try being up 3-0 with two chances at home and four chances total to close out a team with the goaltending of Brian Boucher and Michael Leighton. I would have bet a year's salary on the Bruins being able to do this. I'd rather have Goldberg and Julie "the cat" Gaffney in net, then these two journeymen clowns. Yet somehow Boston managed to blow this, a historic collapse. (Who does Gunnar Stahl think he is with this slap shot in a shoot out....only Robert Reichel is that stupid)

2. Jays-Rangers Game 2. I just got home about 25 minutes ago from the Jays game tonight. It started at 7pm, so for those counting that's a 4 and half hour night at a freezing Rogers Center (thanks for having the roof open in 52km/h winds assholes). I went to the Jays game tonight and a beer league slo-pitch game broke out. Rich Harden walked 5 Blue Jays.....IN THE FIRST INNING!!!! Vernon Wells, Travis Snider, Adam Lind, Aaron Hill and Lyle Overbay (Lyle Overbay .200 batting average watch update.....Lyle went 3 for 3 with 2 walks raising his average .14 points to a whopping .183!!!!!)all hit homers for the Canadian Crankshows and the Jays pillaged the Rangers pitching staff for a 16-10 win. Highly entertaining stuff, and tommorrow the Jays send ace Ricky Romero to the mound to face Scott Feldman who pitches about as well as Corey Feldman. Expect the Jays to continue with their MASHING.

.183 and MOOOOOVVVVVING on up!

3. Mariners-Rays. This game is on Fox and I'm rather excited to watch it. Sure the Mariners suck and the Rays will probably dominate, but we got Ken Griffey falling asleep in the clubhouse during games! For those who missed it, apparently earlier this week Griffey went down to the clubhouse during a Mariners game and fell asleep and missed a pinch hitting opportunity. If I'm the Rays sound guy in the stadium, I'm definitely playing the sound of a dude snoring everytime Grif comes to bat. There's no way that isn't hilarious. The Rays are clearly going to win this game, but whether Rip Van Griffey can stay awake for 9 innings is what I'm pumped about. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5178137

4. Alec Baldwin hosting SNL. Baldwin is somewhat of an SNL legend and he's hosting SNL tommorrow night, so everyone set the PVR's, this could be hilarious. http://jeremy.zawodny.com/blog/archives/005986.html. Is SNL making a comeback? Betty White as host last week with Jay-Z as musical guest, now Baldwin this week? Now if only they could get talent on the actual cast members (Samberg excluded) they might have something.

And of course.....the babe of the week........Hayden Panettiere
